Welcome to TAXCPA.COM (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our website, including any interactive tools, AI-integrated features, portals, or communication features, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
This website and its content are provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, tax, or accounting advice. Your use of this website — including using an interactive tool, chatting with the AI assistant, submitting an inquiry, uploading documents, booking a case review, or making a payment — does not create a client–firm, fiduciary, or advisory relationship. The free 15-minute case review is a preliminary conversation, not an agreement to provide professional services. A formal written engagement agreement signed by the firm is required to become a client.
Until the firm accepts your matter under a signed engagement agreement, the firm has no duty to act on information you submit, to review documents you upload, to respond by any particular time, or to monitor or protect any deadline. You remain responsible for your own deadlines before an engagement begins. Professional services are limited to the scope stated in the signed engagement agreement.
TAXCPA.COM offers interactive features, including an IRS Notice Decoder, an Offer in Compromise reality-check quiz, a penalty and interest estimator, and an educational quiz game (“Audit Bait”) (collectively, the “Tools”). The Tools are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
Tool outputs are general information about the category of notice or issue you selected, or arithmetic estimates based on the figures you enter. They are not an assessment of your actual notice, your actual liability, or your particular situation; they are not a determination of your eligibility for any tax relief; and they are not tax, legal, or accounting advice or a recommendation to take or refrain from taking any action. Deadlines and response windows shown by the Notice Decoder reflect general patterns for the notice type selected — the date printed on your own IRS or state notice controls, and you are responsible for verifying it. Estimates depend entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the figures you enter and are not a quote, an offer, or a prediction of any outcome. We do not review, verify, or correct your inputs, and we are not responsible for any action you take or decline to take in reliance on any Tool output. Do not delay action on a deadline while waiting for a response from this website or the firm. The Tools may be updated, changed, or discontinued without notice.
The chat feature on TAXCPA.COM is an automated assistant operated on behalf of the firm. It is not the CPA, it does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it does not create a client relationship. It answers general questions about the firm, its process, and how to schedule a review, and it routes people to schedule a complimentary 15-minute case review with the CPA. Chat responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances; do not rely on the chat to interpret your notice, calculate a deadline, or decide what action to take.
Do not send Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through the chat or any form on this website — we do not collect Social Security numbers on this website, and any such information you send is sent at your own risk. Chat conversations may be logged and reviewed by firm personnel for intake, quality, and training, and may be processed by third-party AI and software vendors as described in our Privacy Policy.
Services described on this website are subject to the terms of a separate written engagement agreement. We reserve the right to accept or decline clients at our discretion, subject to applicable law. We may use commercially available software, artificial intelligence tools, payment processors, hosting providers, and other service providers to operate the website, the Tools, the chat, portals, and scheduling, and to support our services. Information handled by these providers is subject to our Privacy Policy, the providers’ terms, and applicable law. Use of third-party technology does not expand the scope of any engagement or replace the firm’s professional judgment.
The initial 15-minute case review is free. If the firm offers to undertake professional services, the scope of work and the flat fee will be stated in writing before the engagement begins and before any payment is taken. Where an engagement provides for staged payments, each stage must be paid before work on that stage begins, and the firm will not submit a filing or other final submission covered by the engagement until the final-stage payment has been received, all as specified in the engagement agreement.
The engagement agreement — not these Terms — governs the amounts due, payment dates, approved payment methods, refunds, cancellations, suspension or termination of work, and any late-payment charges. No late fee or interest charge applies unless expressly stated in the signed engagement agreement and permitted by applicable law. Online payment facilities on this website are intended for existing clients paying amounts due under an engagement; a payment by itself does not expand the scope of an engagement.

We utilize secure Portals for data sharing. Documents you upload are provided for intake and review only; the portal is not a permanent repository or a back-up service for your records, and you should retain copies of your own documents. Uploaded documents may be retained, returned, or deleted in accordance with our legal and professional obligations, the engagement agreement, and our Privacy Policy. We are not a host for your information and do not provide back-up services for your data.
Electronic communications and file transfers can be delayed, misdirected, intercepted, or affected by technical failures, and no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure. If you choose to transmit confidential information via non-secure methods (standard email), you accept all responsibility for unauthorized access, loss, or damage — except that nothing in this section excuses the firm from its own applicable legal, professional, confidentiality, or security obligations.
The website, the Tools, and the AI chat are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranty that any information, calculation, estimate, or other output on this website will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for your particular situation.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for the firm’s own fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits or alters any duty or liability arising under a signed engagement agreement, which is governed by its own terms, or waives any right or remedy that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of this website shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kings County, New York, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. This section does not apply where mandatory law requires a different forum, and no provision of these Terms shortens a statutory limitation period or waives a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
